We've had a few questions about treats!
1. What is a treat?
A treat is any gift that you create for someone beyond the main gift for your assigned recipient. Treats are not subject to the exchange minimum requirements. You do not need to be previously signed up to the exchange to post treats.
2. Did I miss the deadline for posting my treat?
Not at all - the deadline was only for your assigned exchange creation, to ensure that each person will receive at least one gift. If you want your treat to be included in the reveal, make sure it’s posted before January 25th, 2020. We are planning to keep the collection open until February 14th, 2020 so you can continue to submit treats through then!
Please note that when you submit something to the collection it goes into the moderation queue. We are regularly checking this, but if it’s been 24 hours and your work is still in moderation please contact us.
3. Does my recipient need to be signed up for the Sundial Exchange to receive a treat?
Treats can be submitted for anyone who participated in the exchange, including your original recipient. If you want to look for people to create treats for, please check the letters post (and add your own letter if you haven’t already).
Two superstars who especially deserve treats arestarandrea and amara1783,who both went above and beyond by accepting pinch hits even though they were not signed up to receive anything!
4. What are the restrictions on treating?
The treat should be appropriate to the Sundial Exchange: that is, it must be in a Guardian or Guardian-adjacent fandom. So Guardian drama, Guardian novel, Guardian RPF, or other TV shows, photoshoots, commercials, etc featuring the main cast of Guardian. It should not, for example, be an "Untamed" themed creation (unless it's a crossover or fusion with Guardian in some fashion). If you're not certain whether your creation fits this parameter, please let us know and we'll be happy to clarify!
