The sundial_exchange 2021 sign-up is officially open!

Remember this is a multimedia fest; we encourage participants to be open-minded and think outside the box. For instance, as well as amazing fanfic and gorgeous fanart, last year we witnessed several podfics, a paper doll cut out, icons, poetry, a moodboard, gifs, oral not!fic and a map.

For inspiration, there's also fanworks such as RateMyProf pages (Zhenhun novel), OST songs recreation (Guardian), stamp carving/block printing art (Guardian), micro dice games (Nirvana in Fire), visual novel (Nirvana in Fire), character meta, romantic forms (Sherlock BBC), epistolary fics, filks, art covers, cookies, any remixes, jewellery, stationary (Harry Potter), cross-stiching (Hockey), pet cosplay, playable games, fake social media interactions, fic binding, A Softer World edits (Final Fantasy), in-world wikipedia or fan pages and so many possibilities (both Multifandom).

Of course, you don't have to go off beaten paths. It's absolutely fine if you only want to write fic or only want to make art, for example. We simply want everyone to feel free to explore or be surprised, if they wish to. The most important part will always be to have fun. :D

For this reason as well, we encourage participants to make a Dear Creator Letter and share it with us in an upcoming post. Given the specific circumstances of this year, many people might barely have time to create and would love further details, while others might have a high drive to create and wish to peruse other participant's letters so as to make Treats.
