We have learned that ‘Chinese New Year’ is not the preferred translation for the holiday, and that 'Lunar New Year' is the more correct and inclusive usage. We have accordingly changed the name in the comm to ‘Lunar New Year’, and
naye very kindly made us a new header image! <3

And according to the AP Stylebook: Lunar New Year is preferred over Chinese New Year or Spring Festival, the name it is known by in China.
